Design and Development

RECOMM is my solo web application for personalized music discovery. I designed the entire user experience and wrote all the code as the final project for my JS course. This app showcases my ability to create intuitive interfaces and functional front-end solutions, helping users find their next favorite album with tailored recommendations.

Challenge

The main challenge was designing a music discovery application that balances rich content with a simple and intuitive user experience. As a solo project developed during JavaScript training, it required translating complex features such as recommendations, album browsing, and user collections into a clear and engaging interface. Additionally, the challenge was to design a scalable structure that could later be implemented in code, while keeping the experience lightweight and easy to navigate for everyday users

Design and development

The design process focused on creating a modern, content-driven interface inspired by music platforms, with emphasis on clear hierarchy, visual consistency, and smooth user flows. The application was designed in Figma, allowing rapid prototyping, iteration, and testing of user interactions. During development, the project served as a practical foundation for applying JavaScript concepts, bridging the gap between design and implementation. As a result, the system was structured with reusable components and scalable layouts, supporting future expansion into a fully functional application.
